A Note on Failure – July 2016 Newsletter

Screen Shot 2016-06-20 at 1.02.59 PMThere have been many times in my life that I have failed. I failed a test in my senior year of high school, dropping me from the salutatorian to third in the class. (I really wanted to give that salutatorian speech at our graduation ceremony.) I bombed an interview for a $32,000 scholarship that would have made college much cheaper. I failed as an artist, I’ve been passed over for countless jobs, I failed my first pet by giving her away because I was an awful pet mother.

I continue to fail, in small ways and in large ways, every day. I burn toast. I leave our new pup alone so that he sneaks into the garage and eats all the cat food (yes, we got a new dog! That’s him in the photo above). I flub my words teaching classes. I pick stupid fights with my husband. To read the rest of this post, please click here. I send out newsletters once a month and differentiate it from my blog by adding in schedule changes, mention upcoming events, and show you new artwork. You can sign up for my monthly newsletter at the link… there’s a “subscribe” button in the top left corner.
